Winter is a spectacular time to visit Lincoln. The Ponderosa Snow Warriors, a local organization promoting winter fun, sets up a variety of exhilarating activities. The New Year's Poker Run, Moonlight Poker Run, Pancake Breakfast, Scholastic Poker Run and Christmas Dinner are just a sampling of the events that the club sponsors. Winter is so much fun there's plenty of other events to whet your whistle like Winter Fun Days, the Race to the Sky and Iditarod Day. Before long, the snow disappears and the spotlight is on the 4th of July parade, rodeo and fireworks. Folks come from all over the valley to partake in the excitement.
Since Lincoln is home to many musicians, artists and craftspeople, from potters to blacksmiths who display their work locally and some who market their pieces internationally, it just seems natural that the Lincoln Flea Market and Craft Show, Fiddlers Contest, Valley Art Auction, Community Hall Craft Bizarre and Art in the Pines would be a big draw ... literally. Remember Crazy Days? They still have them in Lincoln on Labor Day weekend along with the Community Garage Sale event. Fall brings the Escape to the Hi-Country Race and the Lincoln Rod Run and then we look forward to winter, when we are privileged to start all over again.
