Glacier Country Regional Tourism Commission, is a non-profit organization dedicated to a balanced partnership among eight western Montana counties (Flathead, Glacier, Lake, Lincoln, Mineral, Missoula, Ravalli, and Sanders), and other entities, to effectively market the region to visitors and educate the public regarding the value of tourism, while encouraging respect for our outstanding natural environment and quality of life.
Glacier Country is your year round vacation destination with Glacier National Park, world class golf, destination ski resorts, first class campgrounds, and so much more. Home to the Blackfeet Nation, this area is a cultural treasure with museums, powwows, and local events. The Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park are the exuberant hubs of Glacier Country in contrast to the peaceful solitude of the Seeley Swan Valley, bordered by the Great Bear, Bob Marshall, and Scapegoat Wilderness areas. The vast recreational resources and cultural treasures make Glacier Country a very special place to experience.

Then there are the seasons. Pacific breezes and the shelter of the Rockies combine for generally mild temperatures in Glacier Country in spring, but the weather can be unpredictable. The summer sun brings long days (up to 16 hours of daylight), prompting hundreds of outdoor activities. When autumn comes around, the scenic splendor takes on new hues, while the weather stays pleasantly warm--usually about 70 degrees. Perhaps the most magical time to visit Glacier Country is during the winter. All the stunning scenery is still here, but covered with a beautiful layer of white. Believe it or not, our temperatures are rather mild during the winter. Because we're on the Western slopes of the Rockies, we're protected from most of the harsh, cold winds that create havoc. Expect an average between 23 and 40 degrees, although temperatures can change quickly (this is a mountain environment, after all).
Just like the seasons, everything comes natural to us in Glacier Country. For an experience unlike any other, in a place unlike any other, come to Montana’s Glacier Country.
